Clarks Originals + VANDYTHEPINK Wallabee Boots 'Classic Burger'
Clarks Originals is excited to announce the launch of its second collaboration with VANDYTHEPINK.
In October 2022, Vandy released one of the hottest shoes on the planet when he customised 200 pairs of Wallabees by hand with skeleton detailing on the vamp. Now for the second instalment of the partnership with Clarks, Vandy reimagines the Wallabee Boot with his now-iconic burger motif.
Vandy is a maker in the truest sense of the word and has become known for his shoe and fashion creations. Born in Korea and based in Virginia, the designer-slash-artist draws from his rich cultural background to reinterpret all-time classics with an unexpected twist. Eye-catching, whimsical and refined, Vandy’s footwear brings a bold, playful look to any daily rotation. The designer has since extended his reach to viral brand collaborations, homeware design and popular food packaging including a recent collaboration with McDonalds.
To bring the burger Wallabee to life, the designer uses smooth tan suede, turning the iconic silhouette into a bun. The vamp is detailed with white embroidery that resembles dustings of sesame seeds for an authentic finishing touch. To complete the pair, two classic dua-branded fobs are accompanied by four playful ones that look like key burger fillings – tomato, lettuce, cheese and a patty. They capture Vandy The Pink’s signature ingenuity while keeping Clarks Originals dedication to craft firmly in focus.
